The House That Ronald’s Building

Construction of the Ronald McDonald House at 211 East Grand Avenue

The newest skyscraper being built in Streeterville isn’t another glassy condo block.  And it won’t be yet another “medical” building that’s little more than offices for a hospital with six-hour emergency room waiting times.  It’s the world’s largest Ronald McDonald House, rising at 211 East Grand Avenue.

The 30-million dollar building will have 86 rooms on 14 floors, and provide 86 rooms where the families of sick children can live while their little ones are being treated.

The photo above shows that construction has reached the sixth floor.  You can watch construction progress live with this live streaming video feed: http://www.rmhccni.org/spotlight/211-East-Grand-Streaming
