Week Links: March 2, 2012
In order to declutter this publication a little bit, the “Briefly” segments that were being published Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons will now be called “Week Links” and published only Friday afternoons.
“What’s weak this week” was already taken.
- What does a British tabloid think of Chicago? Check out this review from The Mirror, which includes things you’d expect (Cloud Gate, Willis Tower, architecture cruises) and some things you might not (Lincoln Park Farmer’s Market, a Blackhawks game at the United Center).
- Things are looking up for the retail in Burnham Pointe (730 South Clark Street). A cross-fitness center has taken 4,000 square feet, and a sushi restaurant, hair salon, and national mortgage company should be signing and moving in soon. It’s been a struggle getting a restaurant into the building because it wasn’t built with the shafts necessary to vent a kitchen, and they have to be added.
